Gracie Core is a much loved EtonHouse teacher, her creative ideas stem from Reggio Emilia and centre on bringing the EtonHouse children and parents together to make a very special community.
Gracie loves teaching the children to respect each other and the world around them- a core concept of EtonHouse international schools. It is very clear to all who know Gracie that she loves working with children and she says it’s wonderful to watch children use their imaginations whilst the teachers take a step back and allow the children to guide us into their worlds.
Gracie has an Early Years degree from the University of East London.
Nicky is delighted to be joining Eton House as Reception teacher and Vice Principal, and is looking forward to creating a vibrant, happy and respectful ethos in her class and the wider Eton House community.
Nicky firmly believes in the importance of play, freedom and curiosity, and enjoys facilitating and watching the learning that develops when children are allowed to explore. A true bookworm, Nicky fosters a love of stories and imagination in the children she teaches, and delights in using the outdoors and nature as a learning environment.
Nicky has a teaching qualification and Early Years degree from Staffordshire University in England, and has been in Bahrain for five years.
Sara Mehkari is qualified GP, specializing in paediatrics. However approximately 2 years ago she took the bold decision to change her career and gravitated towards teaching.
She gained her PGCE from the University of Sunderland and qualified as a teacher. It is very clear that Sara loves EtonHouse as it permeates through her teaching. She believes that children learn best through exploring their environment, playing, and not being restricted in anyway.
Sara says she looks forward to continuing her teaching journey with what she describes as, one of the best schools in Bahrain- EtonHouse!
Fatima Bukhammas is EtonHouse’s specialist Arabic teacher and is Bahraini. She appreciates working at EtonHouse because it is a unique school with nature inside and out; she is a creative educator who believes that nature is a teacher itself.

Kirsty is our Pre Nursery School teacher, she is from the UK and is highly experienced and qualified in Early Years. During her career, Kirsty has attended various CPD Early Childhood courses and is very passionate about Inquiry-Based Learning.

Laurie is originally from Burnley, U.K. and moved to Bahrain 2 years ago with her husband and daughter. During the 2 years she has been here, Laurie has been teaching and supporting children through their developmental milestones. Since having her daughter, Laurie developed an interest in early childhood development while watching her own daughter grow and blossom along her own educational path. Laurie is thrilled to become one of the newest members of the EtonHouse Pre-School Team and believes the key to a child’s success is through building strong relationships with both the child and their families.
